Today I took progress pictures for online trainer Ben. It’s the fourth week of the program he has set us on so we’re half way. These pictures are cold and harsh. Like, no filter harsh. Yuck. BUT actually I was pleased scanning back to the previous weeks I saw how my body has changed and it’s quite amazing! I mean, it’s not like ‘wow here I am a total Men’s Health cover model’ (yet yet yet) but I’ve noticed in four weeks my shoulders have become more pronounced and my back is wider.

Online trainer Ben rang me and told me to increase my daily calories to 3300. 3300! Three thousand three hundred. It sounds great. But it’s also expensive. I know my goal is to be Chris Hemsworth’s stunt double double but I must look into cost effective ways to bulk! Ben looks like Chris Hemsworth’s stuff double double so he def knows what he’s on about. 

Making this chicken stew thing this evening from a magazine.

Heat oven to 190c/fan170C/gas 5.

-Fry 6 skinless and boneless Chicken Thighs in some oil until browned the scoop out of pan.

-Throw 2 onions, some garlic cloves and rosemary sprigs (fuck, good word) and cook for a min.

-Add a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar and cook for a minute then add 2 tablespoons of pearl barley.

-500ml chicken stock and 250g peeled waxy potatoes (googled, maris piper ones). Bring to a simmer then add the chicken back in and cook for an hour in the oven.
